이 글의 목적은 현 경남 함안에 존재했었던 안라국의 역사를 향후 어떻게 연구하여야 할 것인지에 대한 방향을 제시하는 데에 있다. 안라국사 연구의 중장기적 안목과 계획이 필요하기 때문이다. 목적 달성을 위해 최근까지 진행된 가야사 연구의 흐름과 안라국의 역사를 정리해 보았다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 문제들이 해결되어야 한다고 생각하였다. ① 가야 각국들 간의 존재형태에 대한 정리가 필요하다. 그동안 ꡔ三國遺事ꡕ의 五伽耶條 등을 근거로 가야제국은 연맹체의 형태로 존재했었다고 설명되어 왔다. 가야전기에는 김해의 금관가야가 중심이 된 가야연맹체가, 후기에는 고령의 대가야가 중심이 된 연맹체가 존재했었다고 보는 것이다. 그러나 이러한 연맹체론 속에서는 안라국사가 제대로 정립될 수 없다. ② 안라국의 내부구조를 밝히는 작업에 더욱 주력해야 한다. 이를 통해서 안라국의 국가발전단계를 논할 수 있을 것이다. ③ 안라국이 존립하고 또 존재할 수 있었던 기본 동력에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 관련하여 안라국의 해양적 성격에 주목할 필요가 있다. 당시 지리적 환경과 진동만을 통한 바다로의 진출과 관련한 연구가 더해져야 할 것이다. ④ 안라국의 대외관계에 대해서도 연구가 필요하다. 안라국과 백제, 고구려, 신라, 倭와의 관계는 물론, 다른 가야 諸國들과의 관계와 그 속에서 안라국의 위상 등에 대한 연구가 진척되어야 할 것이다. ⑤ 그 외에 안라국과 관련된 地名과 인명에 대한 연구도 필요하다.

The purpose of this article is to present the way how to research the history of Anraguk which had existed in South Gyeongsang Province Haman county in the future. This is because it requires long term perspective and plan to study Anraguk history. To achieve the purpose, this paper gathered the flow of Anraguk history studies which had been conducted until a recent date and arranged the history of Anraguk. As a result, we believe that the following issues are to be resolved. ① The arrangement about the existence forms among Gaya countries is needed. Meanwhile, Gaya empires have been described in the form of federation on the basis of Ohgayajo(五伽耶條) in Samgukyusa(三國遺事). It has been described that in the early of Gaya, Geumgwan Gaya of Gimhae was the center of the federation, and in the late Gaya, Daegaya of Goryeong was the center of the federation. But the history of Anraguk cannot be established properly in this theory of federation. ② We should focus more on the task to illuminate the internal structure of the Anraguk. It will enable us to discuss the stage of development of Anraguk. ③ The researches about the dynamics which made Anraguk exist are necessary. In this regard, the marine nature of Anraguk should be noted on. The study regarding the geographical environment at the time and the expansion to the ocean through Jindong bay should be added. ④ It is necessary to study about the foreign relations of Anraguk. The research about the relationship with the other Gaya countries(諸國) and the status of Anraguk among them as well as relationship between Anraguk and Baekje, Goguryeo, Silla, Wae(倭) should be progressed. ⑤ The studies about place names(地名) and human names are also required.
