The Formation and Territory of Aragaya deducing from Archaeological Sources Kim, Se-ki [Abstract] Aragaya, existed in Haman, was the state which formed and developed from Anya, a small country belong to the Three Han States, in the third century. There have been negative views about the existence of Anya, because a wooden grave proving the formation of small countries didn`t excavate at Haman. But recently, a large scale of dolmens on the boundaries of graves were excavated at Jindongri. When we deduce from the distinctions of the scale and facilities contained therein, we can conclude that a high level of political authority was developed at Haman. According to archaeological materials, the people established the foundation of early state at Haman were the group constructed dolmens at Jondongri. The early state at Haman was formed at Jindongri, unified a Haman basin and the group built dolmens around it, and transferred the center to the Dohangri area. That has the root of Anya, and the territories were included the central zone of Haman basin, the coastal area of Jindongri, and the district of Gunbuk around Nam River. Anya was developed to Anra on the strength of the foreign trade by utilizing the southern coast and the advantage of waterways along Nam River and Nakdong River in the late of third and the early of fourth centuries. And the state expanded to the Chilwon area in this century. The main form of grave was changed to pit tomb in the fifth century. The ancient graves of Dohangri, the complex of Aragaya graves, had some characteristics, such as the very fine plane form flattened to more than 5.5:1 ratio drapery, the structure of a single room, and the burial of the living with the dead inside the central room. Therefore, Aragaya was developed from the period of using pit tomb as a main form of grave.
